WACCEC is a leading construction and civil engineering company based in Cotonou, the Industrial capital of Benin. The company was established in order to fill a need for quality and reliable civil engineering and building construction, WACCEC works on projects that create jobs and grow the economy and accelerate progress to help West Africa meet its infrastructure goals.

In addition to managing the entire building process, our crews also self-perform structural services, including concrete and foundations, steel erection, carpentry and framing, and equipment installation, WACCEC employs a highly skilled team of experienced construction professionals including construction managers, quantity surveyors, safety officers, and trade workers. We also lead the way in providing Pre-mix concrete to customers throughout the West African region.

Core Business

The core business of WACCEC focuses on the following activities:

  • EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance) contracts for marine construction works, including dredging & land reclamation;
  • EPCM contracts for construction & rehabilitation of wharfs;
  • EPCM contracts for shipyard facilities, based on client’s requirement and in-house design;
  • EPCM contracts for facilities – offices, industrial buildings, pre-engineered workshops & warehouses, based on client’s requirements or affiliate’s needs;
  • EPCM contracts for infrastructure – stacking areas of more than 4,000,000 m² constructed in the 14 years to Y2015;
  • Development of residential accommodation (1 to 4 bedroom houses or apartments) exceeding 145,000 m² (equivalent to approx. 1,900 apartment units);
  • Property management and property maintenance of four major estates and two port complexes;
  • Quarry / crushing plant operations, concrete production with six batching plants producing up to 185,000 m³ p.a. and two prefabrication plants.
